During the inspection of a Muslim cafe in the Russian city of Surgut police officers threatened some visitors with automatic weapons and forced them to cut their beards.
The incident took place on March 3 in the cafe located near the mosque. According to witnesses people in the uniform of riot police (OMON) burst into the place and put visitors on knees.
Afterwards several people were taken to the police station, where the law enforcement officers checked their documents.
Referring to this incident the local news outlet asked its readers the following question:
“Are strict measures acceptable for the treatment of migrants?“
More than 85% respondents answered “Yes”.
